By using Magic Heidi, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree, you can't use the app. Simple as that.
2. Your Account
Creating an account
You can use Magic Heidi without an account. But to sync data between devices, you'll need to sign up with your email address.
When registering:
- Provide accurate information
- Don't impersonate others
- Don't transfer your account without our permission
Keeping it secure
Your account security is your responsibility. Don't share your sign-in links or access to your connected sign-in provider. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Using Magic Heidi
What you can do
Use the app for your own personal or business accounting. Create invoices. Track expenses. Manage VAT. The usual freelancer stuff.
What you can't do
- Break any laws
- Share your account credentials
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the app
If your use violates applicable laws, you're not authorized to use Magic Heidi. We can't be responsible for illegal use.
Your Content and Data
Everything you upload—invoices, expenses, receipts—remains yours. Always.
Your Data Belongs to You
Primary application data is stored on Swiss infrastructure. Export anytime.
Your Responsibilities
Make sure you have rights to content you upload.
AI-Powered Features
AI helps extract expense details. We don't use your uploaded receipt data to train Magic Heidi's own models.
Privacy First
Your business information stays private. Period.
Data Protection
Swiss FADP Compliant
We comply with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), effective September 1, 2023. Your rights are protected under Swiss law.

4. Subscriptions and Payment
Free plan
Try Magic Heidi free with up to 3 invoices. No credit card required.
Pro subscription
Pro costs CHF 30/month or CHF 299/year. You choose your billing cycle when subscribing.
How billing works
- You're billed in advance
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each cycle
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid charges
- After that cutoff, the subscription fee is due.
- If you forgot to cancel, we'll be happy to refund you and cancel the subscription. We're humans.
Free trials
We may offer free trials. When your trial ends, you'll be charged automatically unless you cancel. We'll always tell you when the trial expires.
We can modify or cancel free trial offers anytime.
Fee changes
We may change subscription fees. Any changes take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. We'll give you reasonable notice before increasing prices.
Payment processing
All payments go through Stripe or the app store where you downloaded Magic Heidi (Apple App Store, Google Play). We never see or store your payment details.

5. Cancellation
How to cancel
Cancel your subscription in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On Android, go to Google Play > Subscriptions.
On the web version, you can cancel by clicking on 'Subscription' on the bottom left of the screen.
What happens to your data
After cancellation, you keep access until your billing period ends. After that, your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We delete or restrict non-required data when you close your account, but we may retain records we are legally required to keep, including accounting and payment records.
When we might cancel
We can suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
We'll try to give notice when possible.
6. Third-Party Services
App stores
Magic Heidi is available through Apple App Store, Google Play, and other stores. Each has its own terms you must follow. If store terms conflict with ours, the stricter terms apply.
External links
Our app may link to third-party websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or policies.
Use external services at your own risk.
7. Intellectual Property
Our stuff
Magic Heidi, our logo, and app design belong to us. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.
Your stuff
You keep all rights to your content. By using the app, you give us permission to store and display your content back to you. That's it.
Disclaimers & Liability
We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but here's what you need to know.
"As Is" Service
We can't guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or meet all your specific needs.
Not Financial Advice
Magic Heidi helps track finances and create invoices. For complex situations, consult a professional.
Limited Liability
We're not liable for indirect damages. Total liability won't exceed what you paid us in 12 months.
Swiss Law Governs
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes fall under Swiss court jurisdiction.
8. Disclaimers
Magic Heidi is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We work to keep the service secure, available, and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Magic Heidi helps you organize business records, create invoices, and process expense information. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. You remain responsible for reviewing your records, filings, and outputs before relying on them.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data.
Our total liability for claims arising out of or related to Magic Heidi will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Disputes
Between users
If you have a dispute with another user, we're not obligated to get involved. You release us from any claims arising from such disputes.
Between you and us
We hope to resolve issues directly. Contact us at hello@magicheidi.ch first.
If we can't resolve it, Swiss law governs these terms. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Swiss courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email.
Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. If you disagree, stop using Magic Heidi.
12. Multilingual Support
Magic Heidi serves freelancers across Switzerland. We provide support in:
- German
- French
- Italian
- English
These Terms of Service are provided in English. If translations exist and conflict with this version, the English version controls.
13. Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We'll replace invalid provisions with valid ones that achieve the same purpose.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between you and Magic Heidi. They replace any previous agreements.
