Questions about pricing
What's included in the free plan?
You get 3 invoices and 3 receipts in total, not per month. You can use every feature along the way, from QR invoices and AI receipt scanning to the bank connection and VAT, in all apps. There is no time limit and you don't need a credit card. For more invoices and receipts, you switch to Pro.
Do Magic Heidi's prices include VAT?
Yes. CHF 299 a year or CHF 39 a month is exactly what you pay; the 8.1 % VAT is already included. Many providers such as bexio or KLARA quote their prices excl. VAT, so add 8.1 % when you compare.
Yearly or monthly: which is better?
Both plans have exactly the same features. Yearly, you pay CHF 299, which is CHF 24.99 a month. Monthly, you pay CHF 39, or CHF 468 over a full year. The yearly plan saves you CHF 169, which is 36 %. Monthly makes sense if you need Magic Heidi for 7 months a year at most: 7 × CHF 39 = CHF 273, and from the 8th month the yearly plan is cheaper.
Can I switch from monthly to yearly later?
Yes. Start monthly and switch to the yearly plan once you're sure Magic Heidi is right for you. From then on, you pay CHF 299 a year instead of CHF 468.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
You have 30 days to use Magic Heidi Pro at your own pace. If it's not right for you, write to hello@magicheidi.ch within those 30 days and you get your money back. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, the refund goes through Apple or Google, and we help you with it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You cancel in the app or, if you pay through the App Store or Google Play, in your device's subscription settings. Your plan then no longer renews, and you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Within the first 30 days, the money-back guarantee gets you the full amount back. Your data belongs to you: export all invoices, receipts and clients at any time as a ZIP with every original document, or as CSV/PDF for your accountant.
Do extra devices, users or receipt scans cost more?
No. The iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows apps and the web app are included, with one login. You can add a second login for your accountant or business partner at no extra cost. AI receipt scanning is unlimited in Pro (fair use).
Why does Magic Heidi cost less than bexio or KLARA?
bexio and KLARA are built for SMEs with teams, with double-entry bookkeeping, payroll and modules. The cheapest bexio plan with expenses and AI receipt scanning (Advanced) costs CHF 504 a year excl. Where is my data stored?
Your invoices, receipts and client data are stored encrypted on servers in Zurich. For AI receipt recognition, we work with a specialised provider that partly processes receipts outside Switzerland. More on the Security page.
