Copy the address
Click Copy above. You'll also find the address in the Magic Heidi app under Settings → AI assistants.

Add a connector
Open claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

Enter name and address
Name it Magic Heidi and paste the copied address as the URL. Then click Add.

Log in to Magic Heidi
Click Connect on the new connector. The Magic Heidi login opens: enter your email, type in the code from the email, click Allow.

Get started
Start a new chat and write, for example: “Which invoices are still unpaid?” Use the + in the chat box to switch Magic Heidi on or off per chat.
Custom connectors are available on Claude's Pro and Max plans. On Team and Enterprise accounts an admin adds the connector first; then you only click Connect.

The assistant works with your data, but only as far as your question needs.

Invoices are created as drafts. You send them yourself.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly happens when I connect Magic Heidi?
Your AI assistant gets access to your clients, invoices and expenses in Magic Heidi. When you ask about an invoice, it fetches the data straight from your account instead of guessing. Under the hood this uses MCP, an open standard for AI assistants, but you won't notice any of that.
What can the assistant do in Magic Heidi?
Find, add and update clients, create invoices and quotes as drafts, generate PDFs, mark invoices as paid, and list or record expenses. It can't delete anything, send emails or change settings.
Do I need ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro?
Usually, yes. Claude offers custom connectors on the Pro and Max plans (and on Team and Enterprise via your admin). ChatGPT needs a paid plan with developer mode. The providers change this now and then, so check their help pages if in doubt.
Does the connection cost extra at Magic Heidi?
No. The connection is part of your Magic Heidi account, and the same limits apply as in the app. On the free plan that's 3 invoices and 3 receipts in total. See all plans on Pricing.
Do OpenAI or Anthropic see my data?
Whatever you discuss in the chat is processed by your AI provider under its own privacy terms. Magic Heidi only gives the assistant the fields it needs for your question. Your data itself stays in Magic Heidi on servers in Zurich. More on Security.
Can the assistant make mistakes?
Yes, AI assistants sometimes misunderstand. That's why invoices are always created as drafts: you check them in Magic Heidi and only then send them. The assistant only creates invoices dated outside the current year after you confirm.
How do I disconnect again?
In the Magic Heidi app under Settings → AI assistants you see all connected apps and click Disconnect. You can also remove the connector directly in Claude or ChatGPT.
Does it work with other assistants?
Yes, with any AI assistant that supports custom MCP connectors by address. Paste the same address there and log in with your email as above.
